THE PROCESS
Excavation
Unless you're fortunate enough to live in or near the fossil-rich regions of the eastern United States, where prehistoric shark teeth are often found along the beaches and shorelines, excavating these prized treasures typically requires a laborious process.

Large picks and shovels are used to remove the overburden and reveal the bonebed. Once we reach the thin fossil layer, located 3-5 feet below the surface, we switch to smaller tools like chisels, pry bars, and brushes to carefully extract the fossils.

As the fossils are delicately uncovered and removed from their ancient graveyard, the feeling of being the first person to behold these predatory relics is truly exhilarating!
Preparation
After arriving at our workshop, each fossil shark tooth undergoes an individual cleaning and preparation process to prepare it for its final transformation into a piece of jewelry, a display item, or a collector's item.

At this stage, we carefully consider how to showcase each tooth, deciding whether to hang it, drill it, wire-wrap it, polish it, or display it in some other unique way.

Crafting a one-of-a-kind masterpiece from these prehistoric gems, which have lain untouched for eons, is an incredibly gratifying experience for us and a unique treasure for our customers.
