Imagine walking along the semi-tropical seashore that existed in California's central valley 15 million years ago during the middle Miocene Epoch.
From this vantage point, you might have witnessed the violent shark attacks on unsuspecting sea lions, seals, and whales that made their home in the region.

Species such as the Mako, Tiger, and the enormous Megalodon (among others) hunted and preyed upon the abundant marine life of the Temblor Sea, which is now known as the San Joaquin Valley.

Today, the arid, rolling hills of the valley are home to grazing cattle and oil rigs, but this area was once a treasure trove of prehistoric remains.
Buried in a thin layer called the bone bed, these remains include beautiful prehistoric teeth and bones that we excavate and extract, allowing you to own a piece of this fascinating history through Westcoast Sharkteeth.
